Sidelined by a devastating injury, Sutton searches for someone who will command her, pleasure her and push her to the limits of her darkest desires. Within seconds of meeting a Dungeon Monitor, she is captivated by the rough edge of dominance he possesses.
Adam lives and breathes the lifestyle, unleashing his wilder side to deliver extreme and uncompromising demonstrations. But when he finds himself without a submissive, Sutton offers herself. One night under Adam’s sensual command and Sutton knows she’s found her perfect Master.
Their scenes are white-hot and they discover a fervent need that is not easily sated. Soon they are fighting a love they never expected, surrendering emotionally to fill the aching void in both their hearts. When Sutton is free to return to the dance stage she calls home, Adam knows he’ll have to convince her to accept life as his cherished submissive, collared and kept forever.
Warning: Sparks fly when two exhibitionists collide on stage. These two showoffs let their imaginations fly when it comes to delayed orgasms, spankings, inflatable toys, straight razors and one unbelievable collaring scene under the spotlight. Break out those opera glasses, you’re gonna want to get up close and personal.

Thank you for taking the time to answer a few questions. I found Edge of Need to be interesting read with some imaginative scenes. I also appreciate how you portrayed responsibility in the display of negotiations and legal concerns in the lifestyle and community without getting too bog down into that subplot.
Thank you so much and thank you for taking the time to read the book and come up with such fantastic questions!
About the Book:
What makes you interested in writing a series with a BDSM theme?
BDSM has long fascinated me with the complex byplay between a Dominant and submissive. The power exchange between them is more than just a bunch of handcuffs and chains. More than clubs and dungeons. Strip all those things away, and you still have that exchange in play. I would love to someday write a BDSM themed book where there isn’t a single piece of equipment, toy or club in sight just to further explore the power and intricacy of the exchange.
Who was the harder character to write Sutton or Adam and why?
I think they were both equally complex to write. They’re both strong characters, with bigger than life personalities. They could have easily overshadowed each other on the stage, but the trick was making sure they complimented each other every step of the way.
Was there anything about their story that surprised you as it unfolded?
How Adam handled Sutton’s fear and panic attacks. That deep, ingrained fear wasn’t something I knew about Sutton when I started writing her. It came as a surprise when I started writing the Ferris wheel scene and suddenly had a panicking character on my hands. Adam handles it wonderfully, though, on more than one occasion. *g*
How would you describe Sutton’s role when she finally succumbs to her internal fight and becomes Adam’s submissive while she’s in Atlanta? To me she seemed to take on a more service type role but almost to the point of slave.
There’s one key scene in the book where Sutton believes a slave is exactly what Adam wants and presents herself to him in a slave role. But Adam corrects her (though he does admit he likes her walking around his place naked!). While I believe their relationship could easily evolve into a M/s partnership someday, for now, Adam is content with her as his submissive.
Without giving too much away, what prompted the punishment scene with Adam and Diane? In some ways it threw me a bit but at the same time was understandable when looking at the better picture.
Adam feels like he owes both Diane and the members of Second Circle an apology. He believes he is responsible for the mess everyone is left to clean up. It’s a heavy weight on his shoulders and he considers a public punishment the chance for everyone to clear the air, so to speak. Just because Adam is a Dom doesn’t mean he can’t screw up. I think Sutton said it best afterward: “You wanted to hurt.”
What do readers have to look forward in the Body Masters series or otherwise?
I’ve already been asked if Ben will get a chance to find his HEA. I’m happy to report he will. Soon. But he is still dealing from the pain of his past and needs a little bit more time to heal before he can share himself with two other people. In the meantime, Ward will have the chance to get his HEA first. His story will be out this winter. And readers have already met his heroine! One of my other BDSM series, Geek Kink, is just coming to a close with the release of the 4th, and last, book of the series, Glad You Came, due out late this summer. With Geek Kink ending, I’m ramping up on another BDSM series called Sinners & Saints. The first book of that series, Riding Irish, released in early June.
