On the Flap
Bond, her best friend and lover, helps Blue stay sane and sexually satisfied, but she knows her place. Their secret relationship leaves Blue hungry to have a man she can call her own.
When she finally succumbs to Cat’s artful needle for her first tattoo, she crosses paths with Tate. The towering, tattooed, motorcycle riding, American Indian fires off all her warnings signs, but she finds herself drawn to him against her own self-preservation.
Thankfully, Blue’s close-knit group of friends help to keep her grounded, as does the women’s group she attends weekly, but she still finds herself wanting and needing more.
Will Blue ever find the love she needs and deserves or will she forever come in second? Read her sexy story of friendship and love to find out.
Tate is more of the mysterious leading male. From his introduction, he gives the impression of being an alpha male, in stature and pretense. We never learn a huge chuck about it at one time. His layers have to be peeled away. The only general idea you get from the beginning is that he has no desire to part of a permanent relationship. He takes that off the table very quickly.
Blue and Tate have palpable magnetism from the time they meet in Kats tattoo shop but the cards are stacked against them from the beginning. She just wants to be loved and he only desires to have a fling. This story displays a great juxtaposition between Blue’s past and present; behavior she has seen by her mother who wasn’t the best role model and how Tate wants to care for her.
For me, this is the perfect blend of sweet and emotional with a heaping helping of good dirty talk and scorching erotic scenes. Want just a taste with spoilers? Blue squirts and gushes…as in this phenomenon occurs when she climaxes. When I read the first passage where this transpires, it was very much a “Wow! That just happened…” moment. Then I realized I’m not sure I have read where another author has ever approached something like this. The plot and sentiments stand on their own merit as a captivating story but the blazing sexuality takes it to a whole other level.
