Loss brings love…
Everything in life is not permanent but it was perfect. Catalina Pardo had a career in journalism most people could only dream of, a hot, sexy fiancé to call her own and a brilliant future ahead of her. When tragedy struck, the life she once knew fell apart. Four years later, traumatized by the events that ultimately changed her existence, Catalina sets herself on a punishing work schedule, preventing herself from facing the demons of her grief-stricken past. Emotionally shut down, she’s alive but not living because everyone she ever loved leaves her.
Fate intervenes in Catalina’s life in the form of a last minute assignment to a snowy mountain lodge in Whistler, B.C. Sent there to cover the life of the infamous Jackson Reese; an Olympic Snowboarding Champion, she is faced with many challenges bringing to surface the raw emotions of her past. Compelled to work alongside Stryder Martynus, an award winning photographer brought in to document the Reese press tour, tensions and denial run high forcing Catalina to accept the past and face the present with zero regrets.
*Adult Contemporary Romance - Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not suitable for readers under the age of 18.*
If there ever was a book written about rising from the ashes and coming up stronger, this book would be it. Imy Santiago knocks it out of the park with this one. Catalina Pardo has been going through life at a monotonous pace since tragedy struck her life four years ago. Being put on an assignment in the snowy tundra of Whistler B.C. doesn't help her. One, she is not a fan of snow and two, she is deathly afraid of the snowy terrain and what it represents to her. Going into it with the intentions of just getting her job done sounds great until she meets Stryder Martynus and Jackson Reese. Stryder brings something back in her life that has been missing for many years and Jackson brings to her life a kinship she has never known.
By reading this short synopsis you figure you know the story...well you don't. The relationship that blooms between Cat and Stryder and Cat and Jax are very different and beautiful in their own way. Cat is a strong character that has survived and when knocked down, keeps on swinging. With these two men she learns there is more to life than just surviving but there is also living. Stryder and Jax have their own life tragedies they are trying to work through and with Cat's help they are able to do so.
In the portion of her book "About the Author" Imy states that her stories are about "loss, friendship, love and hope". She does that with great success in Chasing Reese. One-Click this book, you will not be sorry.

You can always find me with my nose in my Kindle reading a romance novel starring a tough talking, hard loving alpha male and sassy heroine. For the past six years reading has been my addiction. I am always up for a good read and am excited when I get any suggestions. My other loves are working out and spending time with my hubs, family and friends.
