I knew Helena was mine the moment I saw her.
Then I watched her die.
I thought I’d lost her forever so I gave in to my fallen angel nature, living in the shadows for decades.
That was, until I found out my soul mate is a witch cursed to be reborn.
Now I’m tasked to help her fight the forces who want to unleash Lucifer.
She doesn’t know it, but we’re written in the stars.
I’ll go to Hell and back to have another chance at a life with her.
Helena is a witch cursed to die at the age of 27 and be reborn over and over again. She has suffered this curse for thousands of years, living many cursed lives that have left her feeling hollowed and her heart shrouded in an iron clad armor. Recent events have lead her and her Siren Coven sisters to the end of their reincarnation, but if they don't break their curse and end the on coming Apocalypse they will suffer an eternity in Purgatory awaiting judgement for their past sins. Helena runs towards this challenge with an attitude to be feared and a fierce determination to protect her sisters' souls. After all, if the face that launched a thousand ships can't break the curse then there what hope do they have left.
Tamiel is one of the fallen angels, cursed to live in the body of a vampire while he spends thousands of years searching for the soulmate he fell from Heaven for. After thousands of years searching for her he had lost all hope, until one day 27 years ago when he first caught sight of her only to watch her be killed right in front of him. He's waited decades to be reunited with his mate, and he'll be damned if he has to go through losing her again.
After seeing Helena and Tamiel interact in the first book of the series, I was giddy with anticipation to see how their love story was bound to play out. The verdict is in ... and Kim did not disappoint with this one. Seeing Tamiel go against Helena and her attitude blow for blow was a spectacle to watch. Being a siren she is seductive, full of sarcasm, and an attitude that bites you like ice. I was afraid our fallen angel wouldn't be able to keep up with her, but boy was I wrong. Every lash she gives him, he takes and turns back to challenge her. Helena finally met her match and I was left enamored by their every interaction. Helen of Troy was not like the movies, and the passion Tamiel had at weaseling his way into her heart was beautiful.
The part we've all been waiting for. The sex scenes. Holy toledo. The seduction and power play between these two were electric. Every time they were interrupted I cursed the name of the saboteur who dared interrupt my steamy scene with my witch and fallen. It was just plain rude of them. Each scene left me begging for more and much like Helena I will never be sated when it comes to Tamiel.
Helena and Tamiel's story will make you laugh, cry, curse the gods, and never want to get off their emotional roller coaster ride.

Give me an alpha male with a woman who aces all forms of sarcasm and I'm putty in you hands -- bonus points if a Reverse Harem is involved. Supernatural esque romance and power plays tend to make my heart go pitter patter. I haven't met a book I wasn't willing to try, so if you've got recommendations email them my way. I'm a foul mouthed makeup addicted with slight wino tendencies.
