Love blossoms in the most unexpected of places in this sweet and steamy Cursed Ravens Motorcyle Club title featuring a hunky bad boy and a charming nurse.
The men might tease Rogue and call him pretty behind his back, but no one is going to say that to his face. As the vice president of the Cursed Ravens—and with an unpredictable and unruly temper—respect is given to him at any cost.
But Rogue reins himself in when he visits his mother in a local nursing home. Overwhelmed with guilt that he can’t take care of her himself, he can barely handle watching her fade away with dementia. And he knows the staff is exceptional—especially the sweet and beautiful caregiver who pays extra attention to his mom.
It isn’t easy working at a nursing home, but Zoe enjoys spending time with her favorite patient Anne. She knows Anne has a son who dutifully visits her, but when Zoe sees the tall, muscled, handsome stranger, she can tell he’s trouble—beautiful trouble. She knows he’s a Cursed Raven and she knows better than to admit she’s attracted to him. There’s no way she'll date an MC member. Been there done that. But as Zoe and Rogue start to get closer, they realize one way or another, they’ll have to fight to stay in each other’s lives.
Zoe is a caretaker for an elder-care facility. She hadn't planned to be going down that career path, but after a difficult time her heart led to caring for the elderly. People tend to underestimate her strength because of her big heart and her distaste for violence. She is a gracious addition the Cursed Ravens MC ladies crew. Sexy Ravens? Badass Ravens? Lady Ravens? Dark Ravens? The name is still a work in progress, but damn she fits in well with these ladies. She is full of so much love and compassion, but is also sharp as a tack and funny as hell. She wasn't looking for love. She doesn't need love. She never wanted to be with another biker. Alas, even though she wasn't looking and doesn't need love she can't help but fall for our endearing Rogue.
Rogue is the VP of the Cursed Ravens MC and there are only 3 things that matter in his world: his mom, his Ravens family, and his motorcycle. Rogue is no saint, but he does have the voice of an angel. His brothers knew him as the playboy ... the panty dropper ... the designated club man whore. He never had the urge to drop his lady killer ways, until one day when he goes to visit his mom and can't help but be enamored by the small gorgeous woman yelling at him in the parking lot. Rogue wasn't planning on ever falling in love, but he refuses to let Zoe slip through his fingers now that he has found her.
I was mesmerized by the connection between Zoe and Rogue the moment she started yelling at his devilishly handsome face. Zoe's attitude of "just because you look like a God doesn't mean you are a God" has me rolling every time. Their chemistry is magnetic and it was so entertaining to see Zoe attempt to push against that. Girl you never stood a chance. I never stood a chance. The two of them gave my heart a love overload, but brought me back to life every time one of them had a snarky comment from the other. No matter what obstacles they came upon, they never questioned the each other. They were so fierce with their loyalty and trust in one another it was refreshing. Compared to some of our other Ravens lovers, they took their time with each other and I think that with the hurt they had both experienced prior to each other it made sense and worked for them. From the get go they embrace that they may have to fight for their love some times.
I don't want to spoil any part of the books for other readers, so I'm going to mention some of my favorite part of the books as vaguely as I can. The first time Zoe goes to the clubhouse ... be prepared to laugh until you're practically a cold dead corpse. Those who are familiar with our beloved Ravens know all about their love of signs, I'm telling y'all now this is a good one. Whenever Zoe's sister Vanessa opens her mouth. I fell in love with Vanessa. She is so badass, dramatic, sincere, loyal, and downright hilarious. I'm voting for a Vanessa book. I'll start a petition for Vanessa being our next victim of falling in love with a Raven. Anytime the Lady Ravens get together. They are a hoot and a half and I wish they were real so that I could apply to be part of the Lady Ravens crew ... even if that means I have to be the one who falls in love with Shack.
There were only two things I wished for when I got done with the series. One, I wish we would have gotten to actual see the interactions with our "special guests" that are mentioned. That would have been a damn good time. Two, I wanted more to come from the Fox aspect of the story. You can't just blow my mind with that reveal and then brush it off nonchalantly .... well I guess you can cause you did but doesn't mean I have to like it.
Chantal's MC story lines are so addicting and they flow beautifully. The world is constructed so beautifully and you can't help but love all of the characters ... and yes I mean even Shack too. Zoe and Rogue made sense from the moment they met, even if they didn't see it right away. Just because you aren't looking for love or don't "need" it, doesn't mean it won't find you. One person. One chance meeting. Can change everything.

Give me an alpha male with a woman who aces all forms of sarcasm and I'm putty in you hands -- bonus points if a Reverse Harem is involved. Supernatural esque romance and power plays tend to make my heart go pitter patter. I haven't met a book I wasn't willing to try, so if you've got recommendations email them my way. I'm a foul mouthed makeup addicted with slight wino tendencies.
