When she shows up to Philly for a career fair things are still not going her way that is until she sees Storm. She goes to goes to confront him only to find out it isn’t storm at all, it’s Dane Ranier.
After getting assailed by Jessica only to find it’s a case of mistaken identity, he finds himself intrigued with the raven haired woman. He quickly jumps to knight in shining armor status giving her a ride to the job fair but going one step further to ensure she finds a job.
For the first five segments, I’d say this is a typical and predictable billionaire romance with an undercurrent of BDSM themes. Just because I say that doesn’t mean it’s not enjoyable, on the contrary it is a perfect quick read for an afternoon lounging. The focus of the book seems to steer towards the sex and less on the story which works well since the best written parts happen to be the more detailed and searing erotic scenes.
The sixth installment seems to take a departure from the flow in the rest of the book. It has the appearance of more extreme BDSM themes that had been more lightly insinuated previously. This last piece also has a quite a significant revelation and curveball to what you’d expect. The end of the tale is an abrupt and there are subplots left with loose ends but it’s relatively satisfying none the less.
As long as you keep in mind that this book isn’t meant to be intellectual or intense, it is an amusing read.
