Where inspirations strikes
Co-singer Rob usually find his pleasure with men, but when Ashley runs back to the arms of her ex lover Ty, he realizes that he’s no longer content being only a friend.
Pride kept Ty from pursing Ashley to Nashville. When Ashley returns to his bed, Ty vows not to give her up again, even if it means sharing her with a man he finds aggravating – and surprisingly attractive.
When secrets and ambition seem poised to destroy her chance to be a star, Ashley must decide if she’s willing to risk it all for a Nashville Trio.
Ashley Ford is a talented singer who has worked hard to ascertain her dream of making it big in Nashville. Using her mother’s chose to throw away her career for a man as momentum to remain focused. Upon getting the shot to move to Nashville several years earlier and her boyfriend, Ty being less than supportive she up and left him behind.
Rob has been the business for a while, putting in his dues. After seeing Ashley sing with passion at a county fair, he realized their collaboration is his ticket to fame. He respects her and wants only what’s best for them as a duo. Even while she been in a bit of a slump lately, he feels the need to protect her.
Still pining over Ashley, Ty knows he can’t live without her. He’s willing to do anything to get her back and that includes a move to Nashville. He’s has spent years putting together a plan to win her over. He knows he messed up with her but isn’t sure how or why she left so abruptly.
Now Ashley finds her music performances lacking. After a hook up with Ty she identifies perhaps her self-imposed celibacy is closing her off creatively. The bigger problem is she wants both of her men. She’s always had a strong connection to Ty even after he wanted her to abandon her dreams. She’s also fallen in love with Rob although he maintains a revolving door of men, plus she wouldn’t want to jeopardize her career. How will she settle? Who will she choose?
I loved that this story is told from the three separate points of view. It makes it easier to understand the history behind everyone’s versions, especially since not everything is how it appears. I was somewhat surprised this wasn’t purely MFM like many ménages. There’s some MF, MFM, MMF…I suppose variety is the spice of life. The book is quite sexual and definitely sizzling but there is enough of a solid story with southern flare to make it more than erotica.
