On the flap:  :  One night…one fantasy for hire…one sizzling case of mistaken identity.

Ainsley Simmons can hardly believe she’s ordered a fantasy lover online for Valentine’s—a man to fulfill her deepest sexual desires for the entire evening. She’s in for a surprise when sexy young Mr R shows up at her door in a classic case of mistaken identity.

Ainsley has the night of her life being pleasured by the much younger and demanding multi-millionaire—until she discovers he’s not her fantasy lover after all.

He’s even better than that…

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of bondage and anal sex.

Platinum Pleasures takes place in glamorous Los Angeles, CA near Beverly Hills.  After being left by her long time boyfriend, Ainsley Simmons struggles to find a way to spend Valentine’s Day. Ready to live a little she decides to take a chance and call Fantasies, Inc. to help her fulfill her deepest sexual desires. She would like to do this with a well-built man in his mid-twenties. (Thankyouverymuch)

Marcus Roarke is a twenty-eight year old businessman who’s had a very successful professional life. His personal life was another story. After losing his wife he has yet to want to dip his foot in the dating pool.  On a day like Valentine’s Day, all he wants to do is go home and hide behind a beer.  A last minute favor leads him to Ainsley. Instead of hiding behind a beer, he is hiding behind and the alias Mr. R.

This is a story about mistaken identities.  Letting your guard down is easy when you are Mrs. M and Mr. R.   But when the truth comes to light, how do you deal with the fall out.  I think Kate Deveaux handles this wonderfully.   She doesn’t make the reader wait and wait until frustration sets in nor does she make it happen so quickly making the story unrealistic.  She allows the characters to deal with their own trust issues separately making them come together in a more meaningful way.  Realizing taking chances is better than missing out thus fulfilling the ultimate fantasy of happiness.

Rating:  4.5 bonbons

About Lena
You can always find me with my nose in my Kindle reading a romance novel starring a tough talking, hard loving alpha male and sassy heroine. For the past six years reading has been my addiction.  I am always up for a good read and am excited when I get any suggestions.  My other loves are working out and spending time with my hubs, family and friends.
