On the Flap
Proposing to Preston is the second of four books about the Philadelphia-based, wildly-handsome Winslow brothers who are all on the look-out for love.
(Except Brooks... he's probably sailing around the world with Skye by now. And Cameron, who's having too much fun sparring with Margaret. And Christopher, who's only on the look-out for a congressional seat and absolutely. nothing. else.)
Preston Winslow has a heart as open as the sky and room in his life for someone special. When he falls in love with Broadway actress, Elise Klassan, he holds nothing back.
Elise, who has made tremendous sacrifices to forward her career, is swept off her feet by handsome, charming Preston...but the stage has been her first love for so many years, she doesn't know if there's room for Preston in her life. When the day comes that she must choose between her ambition and her heart, she profoundly hurts the one man who could have made her happy.
Two years later, Elise has become a world-famous actress and Preston is a very successful lawyer. But fame has not equaled happiness for Elise, and Preston is much too bitter and cynical to ever consider falling in love again.
Is it possible that the only person who can mend Preston's heart is the one who originally broke it? Only if Elise can figure out a way to make him believe in love all over again.
*The Winslow Brothers books are a companion series to the English Brothers books, but all can be read as standalones. All books in The Winslow Brothers series are approximately 200 pages. The RWA classifies this as "Mid-length Contemporary Romance."

This is the eighth book in The Blueberry Lane series. Because Katy does a great job of recapping the previous books, it can be read as a stand-alone. This is Preston and Elise’s story. When they both met in New York, he was an intern trying to pass the state bar in both New York and Pennsylvania. She was a struggling actress trying to make it on New York City’s Broadway. They were both driven and ambitious individuals who fell in love quickly. Their warp speed romance had them making hasty decisions leading to one of the most heart-wrenching break up scenes. Grab your tissues you’re going to need it for this one. After I recovering from the ending of Part I, I took a deep breath, picked up my Kindle and continued onto Part II.
Part II takes place two years later when they are afforded another chance. Elise is offered a role that would be filmed in Haverford Park where Preston’s family is from. This time instead of using that drive and determination to become a world famous actress, Elise uses it to win back Preston’s love. She’s prepared to be met with a hostile bitter Preston but she fought through his defenses and never gave up. In New York, Preston was the one fighting for them, now Elise is the one who must do the fighting.
Katy’s writing style grabs you and takes you on the journey with her characters. You are right there with them through the highs and the lows. Nervously anticipating their happily ever after. Do yourself a favor and read this book. You won’t regret it.

You can always find me with my nose in my Kindle reading a romance novel starring a tough talking, hard loving alpha male and sassy heroine. For the past six years reading has been my addiction. I am always up for a good read and am excited when I get any suggestions. My other loves are working out and spending time with my hubs, family and friends.
