This Standalone Second Chance Rock Star Romance by New York Times Bestselling Author, S.L. Scott, will have you falling in love with Rivers Crow while introducing you to his Sexy as Sin brothers and band mates—Jet, Tulsa, and Ridge.
Rivers Crow has everything he could ever need—a rock star life, more money than the devil himself, and worldwide fame. Except he’s still missing the one thing he wants—the girl he left behind.
Stella Fellowes has a life she doesn’t want—an unfulfilling job, debt without a ceiling, and lonely nights she spends pretending not to miss the one thing she needs—the boy who broke her heart.
Five years later, the guitarist she once loved is back with a hit record, millions of fans, and that look in his eye that still makes her weak in the knees. Only she’s not the same girl he once knew.
When these two star-crossed lovers come together, time starts to heal old wounds. Although she’s compelled to look past his sins, will he be able to look past hers?
Rivers shattered Stella's heart the day he left and didn't fight to stay with her. The choices she's had to make since he left have left her feeling even more broken. She has such a beautiful and loving heart, but everything she's had to endure in the 5 years has left her numb and hopeless. Can she survive Rivers return or will heart further break beyond repair?
Rivers is the broody, soulful, and mysterious middle Crow brother. He's been biding his time during the last 5 years, ever since Stella broke his heart and pushed him away. After all these years he can't seem to shake his feelings for Stella. Now he's returned and determined get back the one woman he can't banish from his heart, but can their love survive once he knows the truth behind what happened 5 years and everything since then?
From the get go of their reunion the chemistry is off of the charts. You can't help but be drawn into them amongst the lingering love, devotion, pain, and broken trust. The pace of the story works really well and doesn't feel rushed. Each time a piece of Stella's past is revealed it adds just enough suspense to keep the story moving along and hammers at the readers heart ... at least my heart took a beating.
Let's be real, we go into this story for the sexy as sin Crow brothers, but I didn't expect so much heartache and love to breathe from the pages. Rivers and Stella are far from perfect and they both have made mistakes, but their broken imperfect pieces fit together and that is evident within the first few minutes of their reunion. Sometimes it just takes a second chance and personal growth to finally get the happily ever after that you've craved.
Give me an alpha male with a woman who aces all forms of sarcasm and I'm putty in you hands -- bonus points if a Reverse Harem is involved. Supernatural esque romance and power plays tend to make my heart go pitter patter. I haven't met a book I wasn't willing to try, so if you've got recommendations email them my way. I'm a foul mouthed makeup addicted with slight wino tendencies.
