On the flap:  ***Disclaimer - There is absolutely no cheating in this book. However, this book does contain descriptive and super hot sex scenes that will make you blush and leave you hot and bothered. Make sure you have you husband, partner, boyfriend or significant other nearby when reading, or else batteries. Lots and lots of batteries***

Makenna Lewis cringes at any mention of the word commitment. She doesn't want or need a relationship, but she does like sex (who doesn't).

That explains Noah, Sean, and Zander, her three 'friends with benefits'.

They know the score, they know they're not the only one, and each of them provide her with a different physical need that she craves and enjoys.

Until a late night encounter with the delicious Daniel Winters turns her preconceived notion of no-commitment completely on its head.

Soon she finds herself feeling things she vowed never to feel again, and when Daniel pushes for more than she's willing to give, she falters.

What do you do when something that you've known to be so wrong in the past feels so damn right?

If you're Mac, you run and hide.

But is Daniel the type of man who takes no for an answer?

Makenna Lewis AKA Mac had an awful first serious relationship which she found out in the end wasn’t serious on the guy’s part or healthy.  After breaking away from it she now suffers from commitment phobia to the nth degree but has regained her backbone and is as feisty as can be.  She has three boy toys that all fill different needs without wanting a substantial relationship in return.  It’s kind of her perfect situation…that is until she drops her phone on the L train and meets Daniel Winters.

Daniel has all the qualities she’s looking for wrapped up in one beautiful, Superman package.  They have an immediate and intense connection.  He quickly learns to navigate Mac’s neurotic freak outs while trying to get her to commit.  The problem is she keeps running but he still doesn’t leave.

I love that this story features two strong characters but what makes it different is the heroine is the one who has a problem committing to the relationship.  She has been fine with her friends with benefits lifestyle and doesn’t feel the need to rush into anything serious.  It’s when her best friend, Kate, dares her to the three date rule where Mac’s issues really begin to surface.  She’s not as okay as she seems and put up lots of barriers to protect herself.

Another remarkable aspect is the two characters get together pretty quickly.  They heat things up between the sheets for sure.  It’s after they’re together and heading down the road to coupledom where the conflict of the story arc takes its toll.  At points you just want to shake Mac and tell her to take the leap.

This is a fun read where it’s so easy to get lost in the book.   The characters are strong with witty banter and real problems.  I love the chemistry between Mac and Daniel; there are definitely sparks in and out of the bed.  There’s a great friendship with Mac and Kate and its fun to see how dirty they talk about the men in their life.  Can’t wait for the book in the series!
