On the Flap
I knew he was trouble.
You’d think the words 'Playboy billionaire’ would have been my first warning, but I went and fell hard for Asher Young. He said he believed in me and my lingerie design business, but it turns out, it was all just a game to him.
I never want to see his irritatingly-handsome face again. But how am I supposed to move on when he’s still my #1 investor?
I can’t decide if I want to slap him, or kiss him senseless.
I really tried to like this book and the series but I just can’t. The first book had some things I didn’t agree with like more hate than any kind of romantic bond forming but I thought “let’s see where this goes”. The second book showed improvement. There’s some semblance of a relationship forming but still too much hate for my tastes. Well now I’m two-thirds invested in the trilogy so I have to finish. This final installment was probably the best letdown of the three. I don’t particularly find either character to be likeable. Beyond that the story is mostly of the Kate and Asher fighting. Their connection is like 1 step forward and 50 steps back, which I found exhausting. Perhaps the most anticlimactic part is they go from hating each other to instant love. No explanations on the bets…yes, bets because Asher didn’t learn the first time so he made a second bet and then never apologizes. Suddenly Kate and Asher do a 180. They go from hate to love and then it is abruptly over.
