FOUR WILDE BROTHERS...ONE WILDE COUNTRY BAND
Tucker Wilde joined the United States Army right out of high school and was injured in Iraq. But more than just his leg was shattered in the Middle East. The war also crushed his spirit and damaged his soul. When a strange couple arrives at his family’s bar, Haymakers, Tucker can see signs of mental and emotional abuse and is immediately drawn to the lovely but fragile girl seated at his bar.
Gracie Parker has been a victim of abuse her entire life. When her boyfriend, Dex, beats her in the parking lot of Haymakers and abandons her, it’s almost too much for the nineteen-year-old to bear. That is until Tucker appears like a warrior knight from the darkness to save her.
Tucker and Gracie are two broken people who are immediately drawn together. But their relationship and even their very lives are threatened by Dex who will stop at nothing to get Gracie back.
If you like your trucks loud, your beer cold and your men hot...you'll love THE WILDE ONE.
This was my first book by Savannah Young. The Wilde One is the second book in her series about the Wilde Brothers. Their occupations are bar owners, country singers and all around badasses. Although this is part of a series, I can honestly say that it can be read as a stand-alone. I have not read the first book and was able to piece everything together easily.
This book is about Tucker Wilde who is a damaged vet. He works at his family’s bar called Haymakers, he also plays guitar in their country band. He struggles to settle into civilian life. He has much to over come with a horrible leg injury and mental anguish brought on by his time in Iraq. Enter Gracie Parker who comes into Haymakers with her controlling "boyfriend". Tucker comes to her rescue, after being beaten and left by said boyfriend in the parking lot. The connection he has with her was instantaneous. He can't help but want to take care of Gracie. He'll stop at nothing to keep her safe.
This was a really good read. I couldn't put it down. I think if Mr. Sandman had left me alone, I probably would have finished this in a night.
Simply put, this was a sweet love story. I liked that they instinctively knew how to take care of one another. Gracie by giving Tucker the long awaited peace he'd been looking for since coming home and Tucker by being a safe haven for Gracie. This is one of those feel good stories that has you sighing happily when you finish reading it.

You can always find me with my nose in my Kindle reading a romance novel starring a tough talking, hard loving alpha male and sassy heroine. For the past six years reading has been my addiction. I am always up for a good read and am excited when I get any suggestions. My other loves are working out and spending time with my hubs, family and friends.
