On the flap: Twenty three year old Xavier is out to prove his independence to his brothers and Momma Joe.
Needing a change Xavier Steel decided to plant his feet in the Jersey sand and start a production company allowing him the ability to re acquaint himself with his true passion in life and make a living doing what he loved, playing and creating music.
Taelyn Patrick is offered an opportunity to make much needed extra money. The hours would be grueling, but she doesn't care. She needs the money to help her fiancé’ Daniel. Daniel and Taelyn had lived together and went to the same college when he was accepted into the medical program at Harvard. Together they made the decision to live separately until Taelyn finished her internship and graduated from college. They had looked at several apartments near Harvard together and fell in love with one. Supporting two households would be a huge financial burden but they knew the apartment would be gone if they waited until she graduated; when they would reunited and again live together.
Taelyn was offered an opportunity she could not afford to turn down. She wasn’t looking forward to helping a spoiled kid start a production company that she was sure would fail. She was less enthusiastic when his mother, her boss, asked that she be available at all times. Josephina explained that she was worried about woman taking advantage of her son financially and damage his kind heart.
Can Xavier curb his sexual appetite and become a responsible young man? Or will he find himself in bed with women who will do whatever they have to for there own financial gain?
This is the fifth book in the MJ Fields’ Men of Steel series. Although it is part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. MJ does a good job of giving you the background of all the past characters so you don’t feel like you are missing anything from the previous books.
This book focuses on the youngest Steel brother, Xavier. After certain photos are leaked on the Internet, the Steel family decides to relocate to Italy for a while to protect their personal interests. Being cooped up in Italy with his family was not Xavier’s idea of fun. He is too much of a free spirit to stay caged. Even if it was with the people he loves most.
The decision was for him to return to New Jersey to oversee things at Steel Incorporated but to lay low. Having a rebellious nature and not one to wear suits every day, this plan did not go over well with Xavier. He had bigger plans for his future. To ensure he is not taken advantage of by any gold digging women and to keep him in line, Mama Joe hires Taelyn Patrick to be his personal assistant.
Taelyn had the perfect future laid out. She was going to stay in New Jersey long enough to finish school and complete her internship at Steel Incorporated. Then follow her medical student boyfriend to Harvard. After that plan was blown to bits, she is offered the support and friendship of the very hot Xavier Steel.
Taelyn was a heroine I could get behind. She was smart and quick witted. She was able go toe to toe with Xavier. Xavier, what can I say about Xavier…hang onto your panties. He is by far the hottest Steel brother. Totally crude like the rest of them but with a tender side that makes you swoon.
This book like all the rest of the Men of Steel books is filled with great dialogue and memorable lines and scenes. I am hoping for one more Men of Steel book…I know he’s not a brother but I think Abe deserves a shot.

You can always find me with my nose in my Kindle reading a romance novel starring a tough talking, hard loving alpha male and sassy heroine. For the past six years reading has been my addiction. I am always up for a good read and am excited when I get any suggestions. My other loves are working out and spending time with my hubs, family and friends.
