On the flap: Happily ever after doesn’t look the same for every couple.
In Raw Silk, happily married June and Ashlyn Phillips occasionally enjoy adding another dynamic to their sex life. When Katerina “Kat” VanderVort enters June’s office one day, she sets her sights on June. Lucky for her, Ashlyn loves to indulge her wife’s fantasies.
In On Her Knees, Simone Davies is finally happy. That is, until her chief tormentor and biggest crush, Abby Nelson, shows up at her firm’s holiday party. Together they struggle to forget the past and build a future together.
In Hollis, homicide detective Jude Lassiter pushes a little too hard, and her instructor at a FBI anti-terrorism training session, Special Agent Beverly Hollis, knows exactly how to punish her. Jude is all too willing to submit.
This book served as a series of firsts for me. It was the first novel I've read by Jove Belle, the first erotic lesbian romance novel I've read, and the first time I was more into the relationship development while reading an erotic novel rather than the smut. I found myself skimming more than reading. I would skim through the sexplicit scenes to find out what happens to the main characters in the end.
Uncommon Romance was made up of three novellas. It was a nice sampling of Jove Belle and her work. These stories ranged from threesomes, kink and BDSM.
This is a story about a married couple, June and Ashlyn. When June is thrown off by her attraction to Kat, a client at her firm, she isn't sure how to handle it or Kat's over the top flirting. The nice thing about this story is the intense and loyal love that June and Ash share. Their open and honest relationship helps them to handle June's attraction to Kat. It is Ash's belief in June's love for her that allows them to explore this attraction by having a few creative threesomes with Kat. These scenes were sexplicit without being too raunchy. Not only can you feel the attraction they share but also the affection.
I was curious to see how this would affect June and Ash’s relationship. Would it become stronger or fall apart? I was happy with the result.
On Her Knees
This was somewhat of a second chance love story. Abby and Simone met in high school. Their relationship left them both scarred. A chance meeting at a company party gives them a chance to have a hot yet brief reunion. Both ladies were affected by their past differently; one having to go to counseling and the other seeing the other as the one who got away. Although their physical attraction was clearly there, the rebuilding of trust was their biggest obstacle.
While reading this story, I really wanted the two characters to get together. The push and pull between them was torturous at times. I wanted them to just let down their guard and go for it. I could not stop reading this short but hot story.
This was an interesting story. I am a big fan MilRom/Law Enforcement Romances. This story was the one that prompted me to want to read this book. I wanted to see where the author would take it.
Jude was attending a Counter-Terrorism course being given by the FBI and taught by Special Agent Hollis. At first, I didn’t know where Hollis was coming from. I could sense her dominant side but not sure if it was more out of her own self-pleasure or for a pure attraction to Jude. While reading the story, I think Jude felt the same way. I liked the way Jude tested the waters with Hollis by using verbal Judo in the classroom.
The BDSM scenes were pretty hot, I’ve have read quite a few books with this subject matter but none that were presented in this fashion. I found myself caring more and more for the characters as the story went on. I was waiting for one of them to let down their guard and show their true feelings. I liked the turn the story made when the dominant became the submissive outside of the bedroom.

You can always find me with my nose in my Kindle reading a romance novel starring a tough talking, hard loving alpha male and sassy heroine. For the past six years reading has been my addiction. I am always up for a good read and am excited when I get any suggestions. My other loves are working out and spending time with my hubs, family and friends.
